REACH SVHC — Product Registry Requirements

REACH Regulation (EC 1907/2006) requires suppliers of articles containing Substances of Very High Concern (SVHCs) above 0.1% w/w to notify recipients and consumers. SVHCs are listed on the ECHA Candidate List. From January 2021, suppliers must also submit SVHC information to the ECHA SCIP database.

Candidate List

The ECHA Candidate List contains SVHCs that may be subject to authorisation under REACH. The list is updated twice a year. As of 2024, the Candidate List contains over 240 substances. Suppliers of articles containing Candidate List substances above 0.1% w/w must: notify ECHA; provide information to recipients; and provide information to consumers on request within 45 days.
